Kids Food Basket

Go Orange!

During the month of March, Kids Food Basket does Go Orange for our neighbors to raise awareness for childhood hunger and the complex issue of food insecurity in our community. Orange is the color that represents hunger awareness.

My Grand Rapids Life is joining the campaign by helping raise awareness, volunteering, and attending the awesome events they have planned throughout the month! I have also set up a Kids Food Basket amazon wish list! You can access it HERE, these are popular items that are needed for the meals they put together. Once ordered I will do a big drop off on March 30th for their GO ORANGE DAY! There is also a fundraiser link set up on the My Grand Rapids Life Instagram page where you can make a donation and it goes straight to Kids Food Basket! Our goal is to raise $300!

How can you help you ask? There are lots of ways! Mentioned above you can purchase an item from the Amazon wish list, make a donation on our Instagram page, or sign up to volunteer directly at Kids Food Basket. Another way is by attending one of these awesome restaurants or events!

What I love about this option is that you are not only supporting Kids Food Basket but also the local businesses and possibility giving yourself the opportunity to try something/where new!! It’s a WIN WIN! You’ll see me attending these events and eating at these great places throughout the month. You’ll probably see me with brown bags and crayons and I might just ask you to help me decorate them, so be on the hunt for me! Let’s do what we can as a community to help make sure a kid doesn’t have to go to bed hungry tonight!
